A Word from Coach Whitten

Your football program at Tarleton State University is coming off one of the most successful seasons in school history. The 2018 Tarleton football team accomplished many firsts in the program’s history including, the first team finish the regular season undefeated in the NCAA era, the first team to win an outright Lone Star Conference Championship, the first to host an NCAA tournament game, the first team to advance to the Regional Final, and the first team to finish in the season in the top 5 in the nation at #5. As you know football teams need a lot of support to be successful. We would like to provide the players, coaches and support staff with Championship rings to commemorate this historic season. We have already received gifts that will help us pay for part of the rings but to fund the remaining amount we will need help from our alumni base. Each of our rings costs $250 and we would be grateful to any amount that you could give towards our goal of $15,000.

Championship Rings for the 2018 Tarleton Football team

Why are donations necessary?

To be able to commemorate this teams accomplishments with a championship ring would truly be something they would cherish forever. But to do that, we will need fundraising help from our alumni base. As most of you know, football teams are more than just the players and coaches that you see on the field each Saturday. The Tarleton football team is hoping to provide 140 rings to players, coaches and staff that spent countless time making this season the best in school history.
